we signed an distribution contract with "Blue Movies Productions" for our two shorts "The more beautiful they come" and "When day breaks".

It was last summer when La B.O. and Espérance Pham Thái Lan shooted with all the team the short film "When day breaks" (Quand le jour se lève). Yes already .... 

However, despite the torpor of summer and the scent of vacation, it is important to advertise on this blog via this little note that Isabelle Pasco (the Clara of the short) has boarded the film by Claude Lelouch entitled "Everyone's life and his personal conviction. "

Some ask what can we do with a short.

Take for example "Quand le jour se lève" (When Day Breaks) to answer this question.

All members of the team of this film added an additional line on their resume having worked above and show by this way their expertise, whether producers, technicians and artists. So far nothing surprising, the film serves each card but the difficulty is to show it in the world and that it is appreciated if possible.

The trigger to follow this course of action is to have the chance to start with be selected in such a prestigious festival as Cannes, regardless of the section.

Espérance and  Hugo (in the communication service of La B.O.) organized upstream appointments with producers, distributors, journalists, opinion leaders and palaces managers to make better known  the short and to be allowed to let the flyers exposed to view in strategic locations.

Today "Quand le jour se lève" (When day breaks) is registered in other festivals, in the event circuits before being sold to TV channels while Esperance begins in parallel to work already on her other projects.

The sculptor

Pascal Pistacio was born in 1957. He lives and works in Paris.

His works are created from metallic structures and plaster.
These sculptures are then worked out in bronze.
Beyond a masterly work regarding the equilibrium which avoid a sculpture plinth,
he uses a specific language immediately recognizable: the distribution between solid and hollow parts. This one gets its true dimension when the outside elements are also participating to it. So, all works are conceived from the very beginning to become monumental sculptures.

The proposal to make known my paintings through Espérance's network was very attractive. It is with great pleasure that I accepted her offer to illustrate her short film "When Day Breaks" with some paintings. I was very honored to participate in this work by my way. 

An abstract present, a figurative past, a diverse and complex work, this is what characterize my style. My personal history has influenced my works. A talented and discreet painter's grand-daughter, I has taken the brush very young and has sketched the sullen landscapes of my native North. 

My artistic inspirations don’t stop to painting but exceed them rather well-defined borders.

My style has evolved over my story and acquired maturity but it has not lost its ardour. 

I try to offer a diverse work today, made now of melancholy washed away, now of vibrant and strong colors, the image of my temperament, and to send a strong message meaning, that of freedom, achievement and independence.
