Trois artistes exposant à l'avant-première de "Quand le jour se lève" réalisé par Espérance PHAM THAI LAN

Le sculpteur

Pascal Pistacio est né en 1957. Il vit et travaille à Paris.

La B.O., Espérance Pham Thai Lan, Olivier Millérioux, Pascal Pistacio

Ses œuvres sont créées à partir de structures métalliques et de plâtre.
Ces sculptures sont ensuite réalisées en bronze.
Outre un savant travail sur l'équilibre qui supprime la nécessité d'un socle,
il utilise un langage spécifique et immédiatement reconnaissable : le jeu sur les pleins et les vides. Celui-ci acquiert sa véritable dimension lorsque les éléments extérieurs y participent. Aussi, toutes les pièces sont-elles à l'origine pensées pour devenir des réalisations monumentales.

La proposition de faire connaître mes tableaux par le réseau d’Espérance était très séduisante. C'est avec une grande joie que j'ai accepté son offre d'illustrer son court métrage "Quand le jour se lève" avec quelques toiles. J'ai été très honorée de participer à ma façon à cette oeuvre.

Un présent abstrait, un passé figuratif, une œuvre diverse et complexe, c’est ce qui caractérise mon style. Mon histoire personnelle a influencé mon œuvre. Petite-fille d’un peintre talentueux et discret, j’ai pris le pinceau très jeune et croqué les paysages moroses de mon Nord natal.

Mes inspirations artistiques ne s’arrêtent pas à la peinture mais dépassent au contraire ses frontières bien définies. Mon style a évolué au fil de mon histoire et a acquis, je pense, en maturité mais n’a pas perdu de sa fougue.

J'essaye d'offrir aujourd’hui une œuvre variée, faite tantôt d’emportées mélancoliques et tantôt de couleurs chatoyantes et fortes, à l’image de mon tempérament et de faire passer un message fort de sens, celui de la liberté, de l’accomplissement et de l’indépendance.

The sculptor

Pascal Pistacio was born in 1957. He lives and works in Paris.

His works are created from metallic structures and plaster.
These sculptures are then worked out in bronze.
Beyond a masterly work regarding the equilibrium which avoid a sculpture plinth,
he uses a specific language immediately recognizable: the distribution between solid and hollow parts. This one gets its true dimension when the outside elements are also participating to it. So, all works are conceived from the very beginning to become monumental sculptures.

The proposal to make known my paintings through Espérance's network was very attractive. It is with great pleasure that I accepted her offer to illustrate her short film "When Day Breaks" with some paintings. I was very honored to participate in this work by my way.

An abstract present, a figurative past, a diverse and complex work, this is what characterize my style. My personal history has influenced my works. A talented and discreet painter's grand-daughter, I has taken the brush very young and has sketched the sullen landscapes of my native North.

My artistic inspirations don’t stop to painting but exceed them rather well-defined borders.

My style has evolved over my story and acquired maturity but it has not lost its ardour.

I try to offer a diverse work today, made now of melancholy washed away, now of vibrant and strong colors, the image of my temperament, and to send a strong message meaning, that of freedom, achievement and independence.

A touch of nostalgia.

The French director, Espérance received a text message from one of her best friends (part of KissBankers) who saw the movie "When Day Breaks" in the "Maison des auteurs". Impossible not to share it and it is great way to show you as comments go along from viewers.

"Congratulations for your work! I liked everything: the script, your way of filming, the actors, your pretty voice in the song and I was moved to recognize you as little girl in the picture ! We would like sometimes back in the past and relive a day surrounded by our loved ones, play hopscotch in the playground, lulled us by the carelessness of childhood!

Féérie d'un soir.

Chers tous,

Quel bonheur de vous informer qu'à l'avant-première de "Quand le jour se lève" mercredi dernier, du beau monde (nous étions 270 d'où 4 projections à la suite) s'est déplacé pour découvrir ce court métrage d'environ 11 minutes à la Maison des auteurs (7 rue Ballu 75009 Paris) !

Mon équipe chargée de l'accueil et de l'organisation de la soirée, les photographes Romain Ufarte, Alexandre Péraud et Olivier Millerioux et le réalisateur Yoann Gannat qui a filmé cet événement ont été parfaits. Certains invités se sont même crus au festival de Cannes !

Bien sûr, il y a eu des désistements, des faux bonds de dernière minute, c'était inévitable mais au final les 90% restants, en assistant à cet événement, ont honoré le travail des 44 personnes qui se sont investies sans compter sur ce film et c'est l'essentiel.

François Marthouret répétant une pièce à Antibes, était avec nous par la pensée, Isabelle Pasco, Henri Garcin et Bing Yin se sont fondus parmi vous, les invités et l'équipe.

Il y a eu beaucoup d'échanges et de partages, des fins réinventées, des débats passionnés, des spectateurs émus, touchés au plus profond d'eux-mêmes sortant de la projection les larmes aux yeux, des rires, de la gaîté, des retrouvailles, des rencontres extraordinaires et pour moi un trop plein d'émotion d'une intensité rare, c'est pourquoi j'ai mis 48 heures pour m'en remettre !

Par ailleurs, dans l'espace cocktail, les artistes Evelyne Anceschi, Philippe Nicolas et Pascal Pistacio qui ont aussi exposé certaines de leurs oeuvres, ont présenté celle qu'ils ont fait chacun en résonance avec le film, avec talent et d'une originalité incroyable.

Bref, c'était une soirée très réussie. Je vous adresse à nouveau un merci chaleureux d'avoir été là. Vos MP sur FB, vos SMS et vos appels m'ont touchée. Vous faites désormais partie de mes plus beaux souvenirs et je suis en train de découvrir vos commentaires bienveillants, élogieux, émouvants sur le livre d'or qui me ramène à vous et que je publierai prochainement.

De plus grâce aux trois photographes de la soirée et au réalisateur, nous pourront les faire revivre.

A magical night.

Dear all,

What a pleasure it si to inform you that the the first preview of "When Day Breaks" last Wednesday, high society (we were 270 hence 4 screenings one after the other) has moved to discover this short about 11 minutes in la Maison des auteurs (7 rue Ballu 75009 Paris in France)!

My team in charge of welcoming and organization of the evening, photographers Romain Ufarte, Alexandre Péraud and Oivier Millerioux and the director Yoann Gannat who filmed this event were perfect. Some guests have even thought at the festival of Cannes !

Of course, there was withdrawals, to let us down in the last minute, it was predictable but in the end the remaining 90% who were at the first preview, have honored the work of 44 people who have invested, spared no effort in supporting this short and that's the point.

François Marthouret rehearsing a play in Antibes, was with us in thought, Isabelle Pasco, Henri Garcin and Bing Yin have joined among you the guests and the team.

There was a lot of exchange and share, reinvented ends, passionate debates, moved viewers, touched in the depths of their being, going out the screening, having tears in their eyes, laughter, gaiety, reunions, extraordinary meetings and for me too much emotion of a rare intensity, that's why I spent 48 hours getting over it!

Moreover, in the cocktail area, the artists Evelyne Anceschi, Philippe Nicolas and Pascal Pistacio who also exhibited some of their works, submitted that they each did in resonance with the short, with talent and incredible originality.

In brief, it was a very successful evening. I express my warm thanks to you again for being there. Your MP on FB, your text messages and calls were touched me and some have profoundly affected me me. You belong now to my best memories and now I am discovering your gracious laudatory, touching comments on the visitors' book that brings me back to you and which I will publish shortly

Thanks to the three photographers of the evening and the director, we can revive them.
